Meridian Sent an Announcement Regarding Provider Enrollment in CHAMPS

Posted: 04/18/2019

Previous Meridian Health (Meridian) communications indicated that providers not enrolled in Michigan's Medicaid program through the State's Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System (CHAMPS) would not receive payment as of January 1, 2019, and any provider not actively enrolled by May 1, 2019 would result in termination. Meridian will not execute the termination, but instead implement a temporary suspension of participating status.

Any provider without an active CHAMPS status by May 1, 2019 will face a six-month suspension. Not securing an active CHAMPS status by the end of the six-month suspension will result in provider termination. Meridian will remove providers in suspension status from the provider directory and reassign affected members to a new Primary Care Provider (PCP).
