Oakland Southfield Physicians

Grants and Research

As part of our commitment to quality care, Oakland Southfield Physicians (OSP) is committed to improving access to health care and the overall health status of our physicians’ patients. On behalf of OSP, ANI is engaged and seeks healthcare grants and research opportunities – both locally and nationally on behalf of OSP doctors.

Over the past several years, OSP has partnered with the following community partners to address health and health care issues that provide innovative and community-based solutions.

  • Greater Detroit Area Health Council (GDAHC) is a Robert Wood Johnson Aligning Forces for Quality grantee and Chartered Value Exchange. GDAHC leads transparency related initiatives in the community, among other efforts to improve quality, access and reduce cost.
  • MPRO (Michigan’s QIO) is an independent non-profit organization and is recognized as a national leader in health care quality improvement and medical review. MPRO provides consultative services, medical and utilization review and data analysis to federal agencies, state Medicaid and public health agencies, health care facilities, private health plans and other third party payers.
  • Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN): is Michigan’s initiative to continuously improve health care quality, efficiency, and patient safety by promoting secure, electronic exchange of health information through the MiHIN Health Information Services Cloud™ (HISC). MiHIN represents a growing network of public and private organizations working to overcome data sharing barriers, reduce costs, and ultimately advance the health of Michigan’s population.

ANI has successfully deployed grant and research activities for OSP across multiple domains. An example includes:

  • Michigan Patient Experience of Care (MiPEC): is a state-wide collaborative convened by the Greater Detroit Area Health Council (GDAHC) and Alliance for Health; consisting of representatives from OSP, other physician organizations, health plans, and state-wide organizations. MiPEC offers you the opportunity to implement the Clinic Group - Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey (CG-CAHPS) to collect and measure patient feedback for your office.
