Oakland Southfield Physicians was created in 1986 as an association of independently practicing physicians with an intention to free physicians from the administrative burdens of managing contracts with third-party payers and other business details. Doing so would allow physicians to spend more time caring for patients and less time running a business. Physicians who are affiliated with Oakland Southfield Physicians furnish medical care to their patients through their own independent medical practices.
At the same time, the association provided opportunities for physicians with compatible approaches to network and share resources for professional development and to improve care. The association includes large and small group practices as well as solo practitioners.
Administrative Network, Inc. (ANI) is a private company formed to serve Oakland Southfield Physicians as its business backbone. Its staff members are experts at managing the complicated requirements of the health insurance industry. They provide personal service to support OSP physicians.
ANI stays current with technological solutions that save money, enhance the security of data and streamline physician office operations. Our physician-friendly data exchange empowers physicians with access to critical information in a customizable format. Through ANI, Oakland Southfield Physicians has access to all these benefits, regardless of the size of their practice.
Our name, Oakland Southfield Physicians, describes our roots as an association based in Oakland County, but it does not define the geographic reach of our current membership. OSP doctors can be found in Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties, from Woodhaven to Waterford, South Lyon to Sterling Heights, and everywhere in between.
