Recent reports suggesting HAP is leaving the Michigan market are not accurate. HAP remains fully committed to serving members across the state, offering strong Medicare, commercial, and individual off-exchange plans. 

However, due to unprecedented financial challenges across the health industry, the ACA exchange plan offered last year as HAP CareSource will be discontinued in 2026. This change affects approximately 20,000 members, who will continue receiving care through the end of 2025. Members will have the opportunity to select new coverage during Open Enrollment.
