Getting Back on Track After the Holidays

New Year’s resolutions are common this time of year as a solution to get back on track with health goals after the holidays. Often these resolutions are not maintainable. This year try these tips for getting back on track instead:

  1. Remove temptations from the house by throwing away holiday leftovers and sweets.
  2. Plan meals and go grocery shopping to ensure there are healthful options in the house.
  3. Continue eating regular, balanced meals. Do not punish yourself for holiday food choices by being restrictive or skipping meals.
  4. Add movement back to your routine. Choose movement that you enjoy, try something new, or find a buddy to keep you accountable.
  5. Stay hydrated!
